Crowns are used to completely cover the cap of a damaged or discolored tooth. We can also place a crown on top of an implant to provide it tooth-like function. One of our dentists will recommend a crown to protect a weak tooth from fractures, attach a bridge or replace a filling among several other reasons.

The crowns at our practice are made without metal and we usually use zirconium and tooth color ceramic to mimic the color of your existing teeth.

One of our dentists will recommend a bridge to close or bridge the gaps in your smile. This is required if you have one or missing teeth. A bridge will replace the missing teeth, preventing the surrounding teeth from shifting or rotating into the empty spaces. A popular option is a traditional dental bridge, which consists of a false tooth or teeth being held in place by dental crowns that have been cemented onto each of the abutment teeth.

Before the crown or bridge are made, the tooth is prepped by reducing it in size in order for the crown or bridge to fit over the tooth properly.
